Start with the fish stalls at Quai Gambetta
Let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere of the fishing port, go and see the sailors unloading their catch of the day and buy some fish. I have a weakness at the moment for the lobsters caught at Cap Gris Nez, which are very affordable when you buy them in the port of Boulogne.
As a bonus, you always benefit from the little preparation tips from the fish merchants.
Go to La Vinotec in the Port
And when I'm looking for the wine that will go with my purchases from the market I stop not far away at the Vinotec O port, 148 Quai Gambetta. It is a veritable library of Port wines with, more than 400 varieties. Port wine can accompany every stage of the meal, from aperitif to dessert, and it also goes well with fish. This House of Ports is a real institution in Boulogne, facing the Nausicaa Gardens, you will get the best advice if you are an amateur.
Discover the beauty of our Coast with a hike very accessible
After a good meal, a good digestive walk! When it's not too windy I like to walk along the path along the cliff to Wimereux, or even to the Pointe aux Oies. From the Marina residence go along the port then follow the GR120, 5km to Wimereux.
If there is too much wind I will hike around the Lac des Miroirs near the château d'Hardelot in Condette and in the forest of Ecault.
