Boulogne-sur-Mer Museum

The Boulogne-sur-Mer Museum

The Boulogne-sur-Mer Museum is situated in a thirteenth century castle, near to the ancient Roman city walls. Visit the underground passageways and discover the foundations of the Roman defensive structure and the beautiful, Gothic ceilings.

The museum has plenty of collections to offer: from the old Egyptian collection with a real mummy, to an extensive Greek ceramics collection from the Classical Antiquity. Or if you’re rather interested in more exotic cultures, you can admire art from Precolombian America, Oceania and Africa.

Don’t miss out on the collection of Suqpiaq ceremonial masks, a true unicum in Europe!
