GOLF DE WIMEREUX

- The Golf de Wimereux, opened in 1901 in the seaside resort of Wimereux - Haut-de-France region - is one of the oldest courses in France - located not far from the Evancy hotel residences of Camiers Sainte-Cécile, Equihen-Plage and Boulogne-sur-Mer.

A COURSE FULL OF HISTORY 

The Golf de Wimereux has known a part of the history of France, information that the Evancy team invites you to find directly on the official site which will retract the history of the Golf de Wimereux, but to make it short, the golf course has known : Napoleon I's horses which should have been used to conquer England; soldiers of the First War, 14-18; in 1940 the German guns which will send shells on England, as well as blockhouses, mines and craters; and its great reconstruction in 1957 by British architects !
